What is the best water to drink: boiled or raw, hot or cold, bottled or spring water. What water is better to drink Is it possible to drink raw water

I welcome everyone to the web pages of the site, dear friends!

Guys, it's not a secret for anyone that the state of our health directly depends on numerous factors - the environment, nutrition, genetic code, professional activity, etc.

The body is influenced by almost all areas of life in which we participate. However, there are fundamental aspects, ignoring which you can seriously "pay".

Today I want to find comprehensive answers to a number of urgent questions for the society of the XXI century: What water is better to drink? Raw or boiled? Cold or Hot? How to choose the right liquid? How does it affect the activity of biological processes?

That's right guys, this article will focus on the source of our life - water. ?

Water classification: we determine the pros and cons of each type of liquid

There are so many opinions in the world about the benefits of liquid that you can just argue endlessly. I propose to value your time and go straight to identifying the structural composition of water, which has a beneficial effect on the body.

I present to your attention, our dear readers, the main types of moisture available to us in the XXI century:

  • Tap liquid.

Many scientists argue that raw water is the most favorable for the body, and the thermal effect on the liquid converts copper, magnesium and calcium into a precipitate, neutralizing all useful substances.

However, most people misunderstand the words of experts when they start drinking tap water. Tap water contains the greatest amount of trace elements harmful to health (nitrates, chlorine, etc.), so you should forget about the use of such a liquid.

  • Boiled water.

Scientific activity has already managed to prove to us the fact that in the process of boiling the beneficial effect of water is lost, its structural composition changes. If you follow the condition of the scale in your kettle, guys, then such a liquid will not bring any harm to us.

However, there is no need to think about the benefits of boiling water either. Now let's deal with the question that has arisen: What kind of raw water to drink?

  • Spring water.

The most optimal variant of our drinking is a liquid that has been filtered in nature. Natural processes deprive water of dangerous trace elements, leaving only beneficial bacteria.

Friends, if you have a spring near your house, be sure to visit it periodically, fill gallons with water and do not worry about your health.

We have several such springs in Vladivostok, which are very actively used by the townspeople. ? I remember 5 years ago, when I was still at the university, they rented an apartment on the street. Tolstoy.

There, just, there was one such fontanel. Maybe there is now, I don't know, to be honest. I remember a whole line lined up for this little water. ?

However, it is quite difficult to regularly visit the natural “spring” in a modern metropolis, so I propose to consider other options for raw, unprocessed liquids.

  • Mineral liquid.

Water from special sources with a high content of salts and beneficial microelements is simply necessary to drink periodically - the effect is comparable to the use of spring liquid. In Russia today there are several types of such moisture: medicinal, table and medicinal-table mineral water.

If you exercise regularly, this liquid helps to replenish the lack of salts in the body, which are released along with sweat.

However, it is not advisable to abuse a natural drink, because we can easily disrupt the natural salt balance. There should be a measure in everything.

I have ever tasted the purest mineral water from a well in the village of Gornye Klyuchi. I rested there in the Emerald sanatorium of the Shmakovka resort. Amazing taste and awful smell, great combination. ? This water is naturally carbonated. It contains a huge amount of iron and many other minerals.

  • Bottled drinks.

We have approached the option that is the most optimal for us in the conditions of the 21st century. Industrial purified water, hermetically packed in bottles or gallons, is a rational solution for modern people.

This liquid contains useful trace elements and substances. The undoubted advantage of bottled drinks is the ability to buy them for drinking, practically anywhere in the world.

As you already noticed, there are several options for water that we can use without thinking about disrupting the functioning of biological processes in the body. However, not all of the beverage varieties can be bought or “harvested” on a daily basis.

That is why the most optimal and relevant type of water for modern people is a bottled liquid that has undergone industrial purification, but has not lost its useful properties.

The need for water for humans: “Friends, I think it will not be a discovery for anyone that our bodies are 85% liquid. To be more precise, scientists have found the following ratio: brain - 85%; respiratory organs, heart muscle, kidneys - 80%; muscle structure - 75%; liver and skin - 70%; bone skeleton - 20%; adipose tissue - 10% ”.

We choose water by temperature: warm, cold or hot

Having decided which water is preferable to drink - we have not finished our research yet. The temperature of the liquid is one of the fundamental factors that affect many of the body's vital processes.

Now I propose to deal with the advantages and disadvantages of cold and hot water, not forgetting about the intermediate option - warm liquid:

  • Cold water.

Pros: acceleration of metabolism; getting rid of excess weight, because the body spends its own resources on "heating" the body.

Minuses: the cause of digestive problems; violation of bile secretion; the occurrence of malfunctions in the intestines - less gastric juice is secreted;

  • Warm liquid.

Pros: improvement of the digestive tract and blood circulation; removal of toxins, toxins and harmful microelements from the body; vasodilation; reduction of pain in the throat; prevention of diseases of the bladder; improvement of the skin.

  • Hot water.

Pros: short-term feeling of fullness, satisfying hunger; warming effect; vasodilation.

Minuses: the cause of oncological diseases of the larynx and esophagus; weakening of immunity; damage to tooth enamel and oral mucosa; disruption of the upper respiratory tract; "Blunting" of the functional of taste buds; increased gas formation in the body.

Impressive, right? ?

I was surprised to find out in my research how important it is to drink liquids at the right temperature. I am sure that this information will also be useful for many Start-health subscribers, becoming a prerequisite for choosing warm water.

“Terrible” statistics: “Scientists have calculated that in about 20-25 years of life, a person who regularly uses raw tap water gets about 110 kg of chlorine, 500 grams of aluminum and 25 kg of nitrates... This amount of "foreign" elements has an extremely negative effect on all life processes. "

Top 5 recommendations for choosing and drinking bottled water

Considering the number of commercial offers on the domestic market in the field of bottled beverages, I decided to prepare for you the top 5 tips given by experts.

How to choose the right purified liquid? When to use? What factors should you pay special attention to?

Friends, I suggest that you familiarize yourself with the list of useful recommendations:

  • Pay attention to the amount of salt (on the label) present in the drink (a content of 0.1 to 3 grams per 1 liter can be considered the norm).
  • Choose bottled drinks with clean water from manufacturers who have proven the quality of their products in the domestic market. Companies with a long history at factories have carried out numerous checks by government agencies, so the process of cleaning the liquid is well established.
  • Prefer at home to consume water from large containers (for example, 5 liters) using a cooler. However, it is recommended that you always have a bottle of drinking liquid 0.33 liters with you so that you can quench your thirst at any time.
  • A glass of industrially purified water, drunk on an empty stomach, prepares the gastrointestinal tract for work, cleanses the body of toxins and toxins, causing a slight "laxative" effect. If you regularly consume bottled liquid in the morning, your metabolism will accelerate and your total body weight will decrease - natural weight loss.
  • It is necessary to drink water not only after waking up, but also after an hour after breakfast, 30 minutes before, and also an hour after dinner and lunch. This drinking program can be called a must. Do not forget, guys, that the norm of a person with an average physique is 1.5 liters of fluid daily.

In my opinion, there is nothing complicated in the above recommendations, you just need to be a little more attentive and organized. Do you agree? ? It turns out that it's easy to start taking care of your body and being healthy.

Helpful advice: “To purify water at home without buying expensive osmotic filters, I suggest using an effective folk method. Just freeze and thaw the liquid - this simple process removes harmful microelements and substances from moisture, making it safe. "

Guys, I sincerely hope that you liked today's excursion into the world of one of the 4 elements. The main thing is that from the article you draw new and useful information for yourself, draw the right conclusions and change your view in accordance with the knowledge gained.

Perhaps you are familiar with interesting scientific facts that I did not mention, or you know statistics about the dangers of tap liquid. Be sure to leave your comment on this article to help all of us take another "step" on the difficult path to a healthy lifestyle.

Guys, do not hesitate, the regularity of our meetings on the web pages of our blog will not change. ? We will see you again very soon at the appointed place, at a time convenient for you. Goodbye everyone, friends! ?

WHAT WATER SHOULD YOU DRINK FOR HEALTH

Every day our body needs correct water... Instead, we usually use a variety of "substitutes" such as tea, coffee, sodas and soft drinks, packaged juices, pasteurized beer, and others. Instead of saturating our body with water, these drinks lead the body to dehydration.

Doctor of Medicine Fereydun Batmanghelidj stated: "Chronic dehydration at the cellular level is the main cause of the development of degenerative diseases." (see the book by F. Batmanghelidj "Your body asks for more water" - download for review)

In order for the water to be absorbed and get into the cage, it must be correct - that is, water must have certain characteristics. The water we drink must be physiologically complete. Such drinking water contains an optimal amount of macro- and microelements and has a beneficial physiological effect on the human body. Only such water provides the necessary water-salt balance and acid-base balance.

What kind of water do we need?

According to the World Health Organization, drinking water must meet 120 parameters. Let's consider the most important of them.

To meet the necessary needs of the human body for water, the following requirements are imposed:

1. The water must be clean. Drinking water should not contain chlorine and its organic compounds, heavy metal salts, nitrates, nitrites, pesticides, bacteria, viruses, fungi and protozoa.

Taste characteristics of water

The taste and smell of water depends on the chemical composition, which is determined by the substances contained in the water of natural sources or added during processing.

Chlorination and other methods of water disinfection also affect water quality. Purified drinking water (tap, bottled) is not always physiologically adequate.

2. Structure. We need water with the correct structure, which carries information about health and longevity.

All fluid in the body is structured. Only in this state is it able to penetrate the cell.

Masaru Emoto conducted a unique experiment to prove that water has memory. (See the film "The Secret of Living Water").

The structure of water after various informational influences

3. Mineralization. Water carries dissolved particles of various minerals and trace elements. Minerals are keys. Working inside and outside cells, they open doors to health and longevity.

A certain amount of macro- and microelements is necessary for the normal state of the whole organism. The water that people drink must contain a certain amount of minerals, the level of which must not exceed the permissible values. Mineral water with a high concentration of salts with constant use can lead to kidney stones. At the same time, water with a complete lack of macro and microelements (distilled) can harm our health - water with insufficient mineralization washes out minerals and microelements from the body.

The water that the cell needs must be brackish.

4. Surface tension (PN) Is the permeability and dissolving power of water. The water that you drink from a tap or bottled has a surface tension of up to 73 dyne / cm and is very different from the water that surrounds the tissues and cells of your body.

Water should be sufficiently "liquid", easily assimilated, have a ST comparable to that of the intracellular and intercellular fluid (43 dynes / cm). This facilitates the transport of nutrients into cells and helps to eliminate toxins from the body. Only water with a low surface tension (43 dynes / cm) has the ability to penetrate into the cell, deliver all the nutrients and remove all waste from it.

5.pH - an indicator of acid-base balance, indicates the energy of hydrogen and the level of its activity in liquid media. Nowadays, many people are in an acidic state (pH less than 7.0) due to inadequate nutrition, stress and environmental pollution. The main liquids and foods we eat are acidic. For example, sugar, premium flour, carbon dioxide (carbonated drinks) have a pH = 3.

It is believed that an acidic environment is one of the main causes of cell destruction and tissue damage, the development of diseases and aging processes, and the growth of pathogens. In an acidic environment, the building material does not reach the cells, the membrane is destroyed.

Interesting to know: The German biochemist OTTO WARBURG, awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1931, proved that the lack of oxygen (acidic pH<7.0) в тканях приводит к изменению нормальных клеток в злокачественные.

The scientist discovered that cancer cells lose their ability to develop in an environment saturated with free oxygen with a pH of 7.5 or higher! This means that when the fluids in the body become acidic, the development of cancer is stimulated.

His followers in the 60s of the last century proved that any pathogenic flora loses its ability to reproduce at pH = 7.5 and above, and our immune system can easily cope with any aggressors!

Therefore, to maintain and maintain health, we need alkaline water (pH = 7.5 and above). This will make it possible to better maintain the acid-base balance of body fluids, since the main living media have a weakly alkaline reaction (blood pH is 7.43, with a decrease to 7.1 death occurs).

Already in a neutral biological environment, the body can have an amazing ability to heal itself.

Read more about acid-base balance here:.

6. Oxidation-reduction potential (ORP). The main processes that ensure the vital activity of any organism are redox reactions, i.e. reactions associated with the transfer or attachment of electrons.

Its positive values mean the course of the oxidation process and the absence of electrons. Negative ORP values indicate the progress of the reduction process and the presence of electrons. Therefore, positively charged water is dead water, which takes energy from us for recovery. Negatively charged water is alive, and it gives us energy! ORP of the internal environment of the body is negative.

Indicators of measurements of parameters of some liquids:

Fresh melt water: ORP = +95, pH = 7.0
Tap water: ORP = +160 (usually worse, up to +600), pH = 4.0
Shungite-infused water: ORP = +250, pH = 6.0
Mineral water: ORP = +250, pH = 4.6
Boiled water: ORP = + 218, pH = 4.5

Green tea: ORP = +55, pH = 4.5

H₂O participates in vital processes: in digestion, in the delivery of tissues and organs of nutrition through the blood, oxygen, in the removal of waste substances.

To perform its functions and, at the same time, not causing harm, water must have a number of properties:

1. Cleanliness.

The first requirement is the absence of additives hazardous to health in the form of salts of heavy metals, chlorine, organics, pathogens of infectious diseases, and particles of chemical fertilizers.

2. Structure.

Water must have a certain structure, carrying a positive charge, and be able to penetrate tissues.

3. The presence of minerals.

The absence of macro- and microelements does not benefit tissue cells, while their permissible level has a positive effect on health. Excessive salt content forms kidney stones. Mineral-free water removes them from the body. The best liquid is slightly mineralized.

4. Tension.

The water must have sufficient fluidity for normal permeability. And the tension is as close as possible to the tension of the fluid inside the cells. Then the tasks of transportation and withdrawal will be facilitated.

5. Taste.

Taste qualities are determined by the chemical composition of the source in a certain area and the substances added during the purification process.

6. Acid-base balance.

The acidic environment of the body gives rise to cell degeneration, aging, the occurrence of diseases, including malignant neoplasms. This applies to carbonated drinks, sweets, baked goods. The body begins to recover even in a neutral environment. Useful water is alkaline.

A person's daily need for water cannot be replaced by other drinks (tea, coffee, juice), they are not analogues, they often have the opposite effect, acidifying the body, not quenching thirst.

How to make water safe

Consider the available methods of water purification at home:

1. Filtration.

Filters are built into the water supply and in the form of a jug. The cleaning device is chosen after laboratory analysis of the water flowing out of the tap in the apartment. Carbon filters absorb organic matter, unpleasant odor, mechanical impurities, and cleaning devices based on ion-exchange resins replace metal ions with their harmless hydrogen ions.

2. Boiling.

It leads to the destruction of pathogens, the decomposition of chlorine, and the removal of salts into the sediment. The disadvantages include the destruction of the structure, the appearance of carcinogens and an increase in the mineral sediment upon repeated heating. After each boiling, it is recommended to drain the water into another container, remove scale from the electrical appliance.

3. Defending.

The method will be effective if the water collected in the dish is left alone for at least 6 hours. During this time, chlorine vapors will evaporate, salts of heavy metals will go down, but microbes and organics will remain unchanged.

4. Crystallization by freezing.

We put a container with 1 liter of water in the freezer, closed with a lid. We follow the freezing process. As soon as the ice occupies 70% of the volume of the jar, the process is complete. We drain the unfrozen water, and thaw the ice, use it.

5. Use of activated carbon.

One tablet is enough per liter of water. After 6–8 hours, the water will become clearer, and the unpleasant odor will disappear. Coal adsorbs mechanical impurities and suspensions.

6. Disinfection with silver.

This method is ambiguous. Since when a coin or a silver spoon is kept in a large container for 8-10 hours, the effect of complete disinfection is not achieved. It will come when the concentration of silver ions becomes toxic to humans. The allowable rate is 0.05 mg / l.

7. Cleansing with minerals.

A silicon stone (10 g) or shuganite (100 g) is dipped in a liter of water and kept for three days. Then the liquid is poured into another dish, leaving 3-5 cm of sediment. Minerals are used many times, but with caution, as there are contraindications for use. In either case, people with cancer or a predisposition to it should not drink water.

Which water is healthier

Hot or cold?

It is no less interesting to find out whether it is more advisable to use warm, hot or cold water.

Cold water refreshes, better thirst quencher in hot weather. This is where its useful characteristics end. Water damage below 20 ° C includes:

  • the possibility of getting sore throat;
  • the body spends energy to regulate body temperature;
  • the secretion of mucus increases;
  • the breakdown of fats is difficult;
  • the lumen of the vessels narrows;
  • digestion slows down.

Cold water is also bad for the liver and gallbladder.

If you prefer cold water, do not drink in one gulp, only in small sips.

Hot water creates a feeling of satiety, accelerates metabolic reactions by a third, but creates a risk of burns and malignant tumors of the throat, esophagus, and upper respiratory tract. Harms tooth enamel, dulls taste.

And now about the benefits of warm water:

  • Warm water boosts metabolism. A daily ritual in China, where the most ancient medicine and tradition is to drink warm water on an empty stomach. The liquid is absorbed immediately, without additional energy consumption. Accelerates the process of digestion, assimilation of food, removal of waste products.
  • Warm water regulates sugar levels, prevents the formation of cholesterol plaques, which leaves the vascular lumen normal, and is the prevention of cardiovascular diseases.
  • The heated water nourishes the skin cells, leaving them hydrated and elastic. The appearance of wrinkles and flabbiness of the dermis is postponed.
  • Increases intestinal motility, relieves constipation.
  • It is used for weight loss.
  • Reduces the amount of mucus, cleanses the blood.
  • The feeling of warmth improves mood, sets you in a friendly mood.

To the question: what to choose, warm or cold liquid, we answer, warm. It is more useful in every way.

Raw or boiled?

We will carry out a comparative analysis and find out which water is healthier than boiled or raw.

  • Boiled is called a liquid heated to a state of bubbling, in which bubbles form on the surface, splashing. During the heating process, harmful microorganisms are destroyed, except for those that are particularly resistant to high temperatures. Chlorine breaks down to form harmful compounds. Salts precipitate, the oxygen content is partially reduced, the structure of water molecules changes. Boiled water is dead. After a day, such a liquid becomes a favorable breeding ground for microbes.
  • Raw water structured, enriched with oxygen, minerals. Easily penetrates tissue cells and performs its functions in full.

Raw water is called living water, as it benefits the body. The presence of microbes, nitrates, chlorine, pesticides, salts of heavy metals in tap water harms the body, leads to diseases, and therefore requires cleaning. Filtered, thawed, bottled, artesian and mineral drinks are drunk without boiling.

If there is a choice of which water to prefer, boiled or raw, choose the second option. If you trust boiling more, then use settled water, do not reheat and do not use the next day.

Types of raw water and their benefits for the body

  • Artesian water is extracted from a well, which is drilled to a depth of at least 100 meters. The composition of such a liquid is not affected by precipitation, groundwater, there are no bacteria or other organic matter in it. But it is impossible to use such water without preliminary analysis and purification. This is due to the possible excess content of iron, salts leached from limestone, and other minerals, depending on the area.
  • Springwater is useful if it is located in ecologically clean areas away from cities so that sewage does not get into the aquifer underground layer. On the territory of Russia there are springs that have a sanitary passport and are protected by the state. It is not recommended to drink it from an unfamiliar spring without laboratory studies of water samples.
  • Well water comes from shallow ground layers that contain excess iron, sulfates, nitrates. Wastewater gets into them, pathogens develop. Such a liquid requires sanitary inspection and boiling.
  • Bottled water is the most popular. You don't have to go far to get it. All you have to do is go to the grocery store and choose your favorite brand. Water is purified by industrial methods, it is divided into the highest and the first category. The first type is extracted from artesian wells, and the first category liquid is extracted from surface ground aquifers. Water is also bottled from springs, which should be reflected on the label.

Why is mineral water useful?

Passing through deep-seated rocks, the water is mineralized, absorbing useful micro- and macroelements. Concentration, types of salts directly depend on the place of extraction.

Distinguish medicinal mineral water (8 g per liter and more), medical dining room (from 1 to 8 g) and dining room (up to 1 g).

The first and second types are drunk only if there is a medical indication as prescribed by the attending physician. Table water is available to the general public.

With all the seeming harmlessness, you should not drink more than 0.5 liters per day, since an excess of salts knocks down the established rhythm of metabolic processes, and is harmful to the kidneys. The likelihood of the formation of urolithiasis increases.

It is necessary to consume mineral water during heat, physical activity, when sweating increases, salt loss occurs. It is also useful for all kinds of poisoning, intoxication, intestinal disorders accompanied by diarrhea.

As for the question, what kind of water is better to drink sparkling or still, the answer directly depends on the state of health.

Carbon dioxide irritates and stretches the walls of the stomach, resulting in erosion. Together with the bubbles, gastric juice enters the esophagus, leading to heartburn. It is highly undesirable to drink such water for persons with gastritis and peptic ulcer disease.

Cold carbonated mineral water, getting into a warm environment, promotes gas formation in the stomach and intestines, after which bloating occurs. This water is loved for its quick thirst quenching and pleasant taste. A healthy person is recommended to drink no more than two glasses a day.

So, what is the most beneficial mineral water?

  1. When buying, choose a liquid with natural rather than artificial mineralization from a trusted manufacturer.
  2. Water should be bottled in the area where the source is located.
  3. Pay attention to the date of manufacture. The more time has passed after filling, the more the structure is changed.
  4. Medicinal is purchased only on the recommendation of a doctor and is drunk in courses.

Distilled, melted, filtered water: benefits and harms

  • The water that has passed through the filter is called filtered... A common jug slightly changes the composition, harmful microorganisms are destroyed, mechanical additives, sand, chlorine are retained. And the applied advanced reverse osmosis technology purifies water 100 percent, but at the same time removes the necessary minerals.
  • Distilled water does not contain useful micro- and macroelements; when consumed, it draws and removes them from the body. As a result, bone tissue is thinned out, diseases of the heart and blood vessels appear, and skin integuments fade prematurely.
  • Artificial mineralization does not completely correct the situation, since the digestibility of such water is much lower than with natural mineralization. Purification from impurities occurs by distillation in a still. The liquid is used for industrial, medical and scientific purposes.
  • Thawed water is obtained in the process of freezing and gradual thawing. The liquid purified in the freezer does not contain deuterium, bacteria, salts of heavy metals. Promotes fat burning, which is useful for losing weight, has a positive effect on the functioning of internal organs and skin.

It is believed that water absorbs positive and negative energy, changing its crystal structure. In the process of freezing and thawing, the effect is nullified, bringing the structure of water molecules to its original state. It is recommended to drink no more than a third of the volume of all consumed water immediately after preparation.

Which water is best for your diet

If we talk about mineral water, then medicinal water is purchased only if there is evidence. If the question arises, which table water is better to choose, with or without gas, the answer is obvious. Mineral water should be without gas and heated.Carbon dioxide stretches the walls of the stomach, which leads to an increase in appetite, the use of a larger portion of food, which in no way contributes to weight loss. Warm mineral water helps fast digestion and absorption of nutrients, which speeds up metabolic processes, cleanses the body.

Intestinal motility is improved by magnesium, chlorine, sodium in the water, and iodine supports the functioning of the thyroid gland.

Bottled water in the areas where the source is located is more useful. See a dietitian for personalized advice on choices.

In order to prevent an excess of micro- and macroelements, mineral water is alternated with thawed, filtered or artesian, saturated with oxygen. It is not recommended to drink water below 25 ⁰C, cold water slows down the digestion process.

For weight loss, H₂O is used with the optimal amount of minerals - 3 g per liter.

Water is a unique inorganic substance that determines the possibility of life for living organisms. This versatile solvent is at the heart of biochemical processes. The uniqueness of water lies in the ability to dissolve organic and inorganic substances.

Water accompanies a person from the moment of his birth until his death. Even at school, each person learns that his body is 80% water, respectively, the significance of this solution is difficult to overestimate.

What kind of water should you drink?

Drinking water should be physiologically complete, namely:

    be slightly mineralized (0.5-0.75 g / l);

    do not undergo deep cleaning by osmosis;

    be of natural origin from underground sources.

Only natural drinking water contains all micro and macro elements. This is the most valuable drink for the human body, on which human health depends.

How safe and healthy is drinking water in Russia?

Modern systems of disinfection of purification bring the water in the tap to safe values in terms of sanitary-chemical and microbiological indicators. However, the deterioration of the water supply leads to the enrichment of water with chlorine and iron, and in some cases, bacteria and organic substances are also found in it.

When water enters the water supply system from underground sources, it is very good. However, most megacities take water from lakes, reservoirs and rivers. Yes, such water goes through a multi-level purification system, but still its characteristics are very far from artesian water.

Raw or boiled?

Raw water is preferable for the body because it contains trace elements. It has a special molecular structure. Often this water is also called "living", and these are not just big words - only in this form water is able to help cells regenerate and does not allow the formation of free radicals. But raw water is not recommended for consumption due to the content of toxic compounds and harmful bacteria in it.

Boiled water is harmful and useless. It is also called "dead water" because:

    as a result of boiling, the structure of water changes, and it remains a favorable environment for the reproduction of microorganisms for another day;

    chlorine contained in tap water, when boiled, forms toxic compounds that can cause cancer and urolithiasis;

    the amount of oxygen is significantly reduced during boiling;

    also useful salts fall out in the form of an insoluble precipitate.

However, it is also impossible to guarantee that the raw water does not contain harmful microorganisms.

If, nevertheless, for safety reasons, boiled water is more preferable, you need to let it stand for 2 hours before boiling, and then turn off the kettle at the time of boiling, such water will be disinfected, but most of the minerals will be preserved. It is necessary to use only freshly boiled water and avoid its prolonged storage and use.

What kind of raw water can you drink?

Tap water

Such raw water is purified before being fed to homes and brought to acceptable values. However, it is not the best option for maintaining a healthy body. In the absence of other options, such water can be consumed raw only after processing in one of the following ways:

    settling for two hours and further using only the upper half of the liquid, however, this method does not insure against the penetration of toxic substances and microbes;

    filtering, more on that below;

Bottled water

This is water in its raw form, which is purified using industrial methods and meets all safety standards. This liquid is packaged in large bottles and plastic bottles, which are sold in stores. Such water can be of two categories:

How useful is this water? Subject to the rules of purification, such water is really safe and healthy, it does not need to be boiled before use. But manufacturers often save money on the cleaning stages, as a result of which the final product rarely meets the criteria indicated on the label.

How to choose a bona fide manufacturer:

    the longer the company has been working, the more reliable it is;

    self-respecting manufacturers do not save on packaging;

    good water is always heard;

    the most demanding customers can always take the purchased water for a special analysis in the laboratory.

Spring water

This is natural water that has been naturally purified through the layers of the soil. Each spring is unique. In most cases, such water does not contain harmful impurities and, in addition, is enriched with useful minerals when passing through the soil layers. Of course, there is little benefit from springs located near cities. On the territory of Russia there are many springs that are protected by the state, the water from such sources belongs to the highest category. Such objects have their own passports, access to them is limited.

Spring water is also found in retail, the manufacturer prepares it according to the principle of bottled water. But some unscrupulous producers sell tap water instead of artesian water. In order not to fall for their bait, you need to use the rules for choosing water, which are described for bottled water. Also, the bottle must have a specific water intake point.

When sampling water from springs on your own, do not forget that you need to collect it in a clean container and periodically conduct a laboratory study of the composition of the water.

Mineral water

Such water contains an increased amount of trace elements and salts from the lower layers of the soil. Mineralization occurs when water passes through the rock layers. According to the salt content, it is customary to subdivide mineral water into:

    dining room (the degree of mineralization is below 1 g / l);

    medical dining room (mineralization 1-8 g / l);

    therapeutic (mineralization more than 8 g / l).

What mineral water is better to drink?

    Medicinal mineral water prescribed by the doctor, but the patient can independently carry out the subsequent course reception.

    Healing mineral water prescribed only by a doctor and only in a strict dosage. It has indications (by analogy with drugs) and a wide list of contraindications, therefore it cannot be used uncontrolled.

    Table water - can be used without risk to health. This water is especially suitable after prolonged exertion to restore the body after acute intestinal infections and poisoning. But it shouldn't be consumed all the time either.

It is interesting, but true: only in a few countries in the world is mineral water used without a doctor's prescription instead of drinking, Russia is among them. Speaking about the age of use, it is worth noting that it is generally better not to give even table mineral water to children under 12 years old.

Filtered water: benefits and harms

A household water filter can be found in almost every home. This is an affordable way to get purified water from simple tap water. Such filters can be flow-through (built into the water supply system) or jug type.

Since each of the filters has its own cleaning base, it is necessary to first analyze the water from the water supply in order to understand which impurities will have to be purified from the water (sulfates, iron, chlorine). Filtered water is useful if the following guidelines are followed:

    you need to select the right filter system for each specific water composition;

    replace cartridges in a timely manner, while you should not wait for the expiration of the resource declared by the manufacturer, it is better to cut this time in half;

    periodically conduct research on filtered water.

Universal filters

Benefit - such filters completely purify water from bacteria and viruses. They are based on the principle of reverse osmosis, which leads to the production of only water molecules.

Harm - distilled and salt-free water is not very useful for the body, therefore such filters are used only for industrial needs. With regular consumption of such water, demineralization of the body occurs - water, which is devoid of all minerals and salts, begins to take them from human tissues and organs. This threatens the development of diseases of the cardiovascular and skeletal systems, premature aging and metabolic disorders.

Expensive filters are supplied with a system of artificial mineralization of water after purification. You need to understand that the assimilation of salts by the body, which are added artificially, is not at all the way it should be. This is a devastating blow to the urinary system and metabolism. Another danger is that carcinogenic chlorine compounds freely penetrate the membrane back, which increases the risk of developing cancer.

Jug type filters

Most often, they only purify water from a specific pollutant. The general fashion for pitcher filters is fundamentally wrong, since they are not suitable for all types of water. Without a preliminary analysis of tap water, such a filter may be completely useless. Also, the microorganisms collected in the cartridge are able to multiply and enrich the water with the products of their vital activity.

Is it good to drink melt water?

Quite recently, it was very fashionable among the population to use melt water. It is impossible to get real melt water at home. This method is comparable in principle to settling - after defrosting, only the upper part of the melt water can be consumed. But it should be noted that not all impurities will remain in the sediment.

Well water myths

Many bring water from wells that relatives in the villages have. According to some reports, such water is tastier and healthier. In fact, most often the well water does not meet the established standards. At best, it will exceed the level of sulfates, nitrates and iron, and at worst, pathogenic microorganisms may be present.

Well water is water from the upper aquifers that are most susceptible to contamination by runoff. Rainwater also falls into the wells, making its "unclean" contribution. For those in doubt, we can cite the fact that quite often at the bottom of wells during cleaning, empty bottles, garbage and even animal remains are found, which is not a useful additive.

What kind of water can be given to children?

Children under the age of three should only use bottled water of the highest category for cooking and drinking; it must be boiled before use. After three years, the child can already drink bottled water without boiling, however, the shelf life of such open water should be halved.

Many doctors consider such restrictions to be overstated and advise young parents to give their child tested water without boiling after a year. Regarding special baby water, it is worth noting that most often it contains few minerals, which provokes the washing out of salts from the baby's body.

Introduction

Although there is no object in the world,

which would be weaker and softer than water,

but it can destroy the hardest thing.

Sorceress Water is the beauty of all nature. Water is alive, it runs or is agitated by the wind, it moves and gives life and movement to everything around it. If we looked at the Earth from Space, we would see that most of our planet is covered with water. Water - in the seas, oceans, rivers, lakes.

Water is a necessary condition for the existence of all living organisms on our planet. "Water is more valuable than gold "- believed the Bedouins, who roamed the sands all their lives and knew the value of a sip of water. They understood that no amount of wealth would save a traveler in the wilderness if the supply ran out.

Water is the most famous little-studied and most mysterious substance on Earth, it is the basis of life on Earth and the basis for the existence of any living creature on the planet.

    Main part

1.1 Water quality and health.

Water has a huge impact on human health. In order to feel good, a person should use only clean high-quality drinking water. Even in ancient times, people were able to distinguish between "living" water - suitable for drinking and "dead" - unsuitable for consumption. Scientists have long established a direct link between the quality of drinking water and life expectancy. This is not surprising, given that according to the World Health Organization, about 90% of human diseases are caused by the use of poor-quality water for drinking, as well as the use of untreated water for domestic purposes (shower, bath, pool, washing dishes, washing clothes, etc.) ...

High-quality drinking water is water that does not contain impurities harmful to human health. It should be odorless and colorless and safe for long-term use.

According to sanitary standards, any water that flows from the tap must meet drinking water standards. (SanPiN 2.1.4.1074 - 01 "Drinking water")

The presence of microorganisms in drinking water is very dangerous, especially bacteria from the group of Escherichia coli that affect the gastrointestinal tract, as well as the hepatitis virus. To disinfect water from microorganisms, it is chlorinated.

Chlorine disinfects water, since it is capable of destroying pathogens. However, chlorine reacts with some compounds in water. As a result, much more unpleasant compounds are formed than chlorine itself. They give the water an unpleasant odor and affect the liver and kidneys.

Sometimes drinking water contains a lot of salts of hydrochloric and sulfuric acids (chlorides and sulfates). They give the water a salty and bitter-salty flavor. The use of such water leads to disruption of the gastrointestinal tract.

The content of calcium and magnesium cations in water imparts so-called hardness to the water. The constant intake of water with increased hardness leads to the accumulation of salts in the body and, ultimately, to diseases of the joints (arthritis, polyarthritis), to the formation of stones in the kidneys, gallbladder and bladder.

Water is also responsible for human teeth. The incidence of caries depends on how much fluoride is in the water.

Long-term use of drinking water and food products containing significant amounts of nitrates reduces the ability of the blood to carry oxygen, which leads to adverse effects on the body.

Many chemicals most often cause cancer or affect the liver and kidneys and, as a result, the blood, since the kidneys and liver are “the cleaning organs of the human body”.

It is no exaggeration to say that high-quality water is one of the essential conditions for maintaining people's health.

1.2 Ways to improve drinking water quality

It is no exaggeration to say that high-quality water that meets sanitary-hygienic and epidemiological requirements is one of the essential conditions for maintaining human health. But in order for it to be useful, it must be cleansed of all harmful impurities.
How to clean? First, by boiling. When choosing a water purification method, remember that raw water is much more beneficial for human health. Boiled water is considered "dead" because it has a modified mineral composition. However, if there is even the slightest doubt about the quality of tap water, it is still better to boil it. To "revive" boiled water will help infusions of raspberry leaves, black currant, rosehip infusion, field horsetail. Secondly, for water purification, filters can be used that remove hardness salts, dissolved iron, manganese, as well as insoluble impurities from the water. Another way to cleanse is to freeze water to ice and then thaw it. Use frozen water! Remember that a piece of ice that is obtained in the middle of freezing is the purest natural water that is good for human health. Thaw this ice at room temperature. The melt water retains its healing properties for 7-8 hours after defrosting.

There are various household water filters available. The activated carbon adsorption filter, I think, can be prepared by yourself. Coal will purify drinking water from impurities of iron, manganese, excess chlorine.

1.3 Water supply and purification system in Velikiye Luki.

The water supply system of Velikiye Luki has been developing over several decades (since 1937) in accordance with the needs of the developing city. Currently, the city is supplied with water from an open source of water supply - the Lovat River and underground water intake (artesian wells).

    a large structure with a complex organization, consisting of 26 divisions;

    water supply treatment facilities with water intake from the river. Lovat (WWS), water supply treatment facilities with water intake from underground sources (WWTP);

    6 water pumping stations (1 station of the 1st rise, 2 - the 2nd rise, 3 - booster stations);

    226.49 km of water supply networks;

    312 water columns;

    biological sewage treatment plants (BOSK);

    157.54 km of sewerage networks;

    20 sewerage pumping stations. All stations operate in automatic mode, of which: with service personnel - 1 station, the rest - without service personnel;

    1017 legal entities are subscribers of the enterprise;

    5906 individuals, including: 4432 subscribers with input to residential buildings, 1474 subscribers from taps;

    452 staff.

Under the economic jurisdiction of the MP "Vodokanal" are:

Water treatment facilities with water intake from the river. Lovat are intended for intake, cleaning, disinfection and supply of drinking water to the city water supply network, which complies with SanPiN 2.1.4.1074-01 “Drinking water. Hygienic requirements for water quality of centralized drinking water supply systems. Quality control".

Designed production capacity of water supply treatment facilities from the river. Lovat: drinking - 13.5 thousand. m3 / day, actual - 7.8 thousand m3 / day.

    The practical part.

2.1 Analysis of water quality.

To study the prototypes, I used simple methods that can be done at home. For my research, I took four prototypes from different parts of the city and two samples of purified water (filtered and bottled).

But first, I needed to find out which areas of the city the water comes from the well, and which from the river. This information could be found out by visiting the City Vodokanal in Velikiye Luki, where we went.

As a result of visiting Vodokanal, we found out: Centralized water supply and sewerage (sewerage) - consists of 26 divisions. About 30% of the water intake in Velikiye Luki is carried out from the Lovat River; 70% - from 10 underground artesian wells.

The city of Velikiye Luki can be divided into two large areas - up to the Lovat River and across the river. The main part of the city, starting from the Druzhba microdistrict, is supplied with water from wells. At the water supply treatment facilities, which are located on the street. Pushkin, water from wells is mixed with river water and supplied to the trans-river part of the city.

For the experiments, we decided to take 4 water samples from different parts of the city.

    oktyabrsky avenue (trans-river district of the city)

    st. Stavsky (trans-river district of the city)

    st. Suburban (central district of the city)

    st. Friendship (central district of the city)

And also two more samples:

    Tap water, which was purified through a water filter.

    Pharmacy water (bottled)

Experience number 1. Determination of water color

Determine the color of the water. Pure water is colorless, and if the water has a shade, it means that the water is not drinkable.

We take a transparent, clean glass and pour each of the samples into it in turn and apply a sheet of paper to them from the back side, if the text is well read, looking through a glass of water, then the water is colorless. [tab. one]

Output: All samples passed this test.

Experience No. 2. Determination of the smell of water

It is necessary to identify the smell of water. To do this, you will need to heat the water to 50-60C. When the water is heated, we will detect the smell with the help of rotational movements. [tab. 2]

Output: The second sample showed a slight odor of hydrogen sulfide. This is due to the fact that one of the sources is a well with hydrogen sulfide water.

Experiment No. 3. The presence of organic impurities in water

Determination of organic substances in water. A solution of potassium permanganate (potassium permanganate) must be added to each sample, a few drops, and if the color remains the same, it means that there is no organic matter in the water. If the liquid in the glass turns yellow, then drinking it without pretreatment is undesirable. [tab. 3]

Output: Water samples 1 and 4 changed color when adding potassium permanganate, which means that it is not recommended to use these samples without preliminary processing.

Experience No. 4. Checking water for the presence of inorganic impurities

Apply a small drop of water to a glass or mirror. We are waiting for the liquid to evaporate. After that, we look at the surface: if it remains clean, water is free of impurities. If there are any stains on the glass, this is a sign of poor water quality. [tab. four]

Output: In all water samples, a slight imprint remained, which means that it is not recommended to use water without preliminary treatment.

Experience No. 5. Determination of water hardness

At home, soaping can be used to determine the hardness of the water, if soap does not foam well in the water, the water is hard. The same can be said about water that forms a precipitate during boiling. [tab. five]

Output: Water in all samples, medium-hard

Experience No. 6. Determination of the total microbial number.

The total microbial count in water is determined by inoculating water into sterile Petri dishes. During the study, add melted and cooled agar-agar to the cups and inoculate 1 ml of the test water sample on its surface. Because we do not have a special rheostat, we place the Petri dishes on a battery for 24 hours. After the incubation period, we count the grown colonies on the agar surface. The total microbial number is a quantitative indicator that reflects the content of microorganisms in 1 ml of the test water. This test is of low value as an indicator of the presence of pathogenic microorganisms, but nevertheless, it is an important sanitary indicator that allows you to assess the total microbial contamination of a water body. In accordance with SanPin 2.1.4.1074-01, the presence of microorganisms allows no more than 50 per 1 ml. [tab. 6]

Output: All samples matchSanPinu 2.1.4.1074-01

    1. Results of the survey

In order to find out the level of knowledge of schoolchildren about the quality of drinking water, we conducted a survey among schoolchildren. A total of 100 people were questioned.

1) What kind of water do you drink?

    raw tap water - 21%

    boiled - 40%

    filtered - 30%

    bottled - 9%

2) What do you think about the quality of drinking water in our city?

Conclusion

Conclusion

1. Based on the results of the survey, we concluded that many schoolchildren are well informed about the consequences of the impact of poor-quality water on the body of each of us. The guys understand the harm caused by such drinking water to the human body.

2. Thus, our hypotheses were confirmed. Water has an effect on the human body. The quality of drinking water in Velikiye Luki meets the standards and requirements of SanPiN 2.1.4.1074-01. according to the criteria by which the study was conducted, which means that our hypothesis was confirmed. Still, one should not neglect the preliminary treatment of water. Water samples 1 and 4 from the trans-river district of the city require special attention. It may be necessary to replace the water supply systems in these areas.

We can say that high-quality water that meets sanitary-hygienic and epidemiological requirements is one of the essential conditions for maintaining human health.

World Water Day is celebrated on March 22nd. It is celebrated not because there is a lot of water on Earth, but because it increasingly requires protection.

I believe that the problem of water, ecology in general, should be studied and understood from early childhood. And when we become adults, this will be our work, our life.

Clean water is the future of our planet!
